Image2XML is a capable image processor

OCR software typically has issues with colors on forms. Sometimes, the form is scanned in skewed. Sometimes the text is not as sharp as needed for an accurate OCR? We have included a few plugins that can be utilized immediately for image processing. Scan your image, manipulate it using the available processing instructions, and immediately see the result. Don't like the result? Refresh the original image and try something else. Like the result? Save the instruction in the template for later batch processing.

Image2XML is an accurate OCR application

After you clean the image, we need to extract data from it. Draw regions and name them into something meaningful to you. Have bank statements that you wish to import? Set up a parent region and then join child regions to that parent to group all the transactions together. Test the image with your newly created template to see what the XML result will be. The built in OCR engine has advertised OCR accuracy rates higher 97%. Have a favorite OCR engine you would like to use? Request a plugin for it!

Image2XML includes a batch job creator

After you have created your forms template, use Image2XML to create a BAT file that you can schedule to run regularly. Using this batch job, Image2XML can monitor for additional images added to a directory. If it finds new images, it will automatically process this image utilizing the template you specified.

I2X ScanTray - Image2XML's batch Scan Utility

Image2XML comes with a free utility called ScanTray that allows the easy batch scan of multiple images into a path. Simply start this utility. When you are ready to send images to the path you desire, place the images into the scanner. Click “scan” and ScanTray will read the images in one by one (if you are using an Auto Document Feeder, which is highly recommended).

Image2XML's power derives from it's plug-in architecture

Have a plugin architecture allows for many possibilities. For example, if the plugin is to an OCR Engine that processes other languages, then the application will have the ability to OCR in other languages. If the OCR Engine can handle hand written languages, then the application will handle handwritten forms. See our road map for more information!
